Top 10 Things I'm Sick Of @ This Very Moment!!

1.Those painfully painful minipops commercials..No tween needs to be singing anything on TV EVER!
2.Winter..cold things..I could do without Winter!
3.Homework..don't mind assisting AJ with homework but seriously come on he's in 3rd grade not middle school..if I wanted to go back to school..I WOULD..most of this homework & projects aren't for these kids they are aimed at us parents!
4.Kim Kardashian-72 days is NOT a marriage-it's a rash!
5.Seeing Easter candy & displays in January-some of us are still recovering from Christmas & Valentines is up next slow down people!
6.Drama..one thing I do not need!
7.Laundry-the dirty kind & also the clean kind that is waiting to be put away..ugghh!
8.Caffeine-I need some NOW!!
9.Socks-so overrated!
10.Snobby ppl..I just don't have time to deal with ppl who think they are somehow better than me or anyone for that matter..face facts we are all created equal!

I do love my house..we have lived here since July 2005 & have thoroughly enjoyed living here.I like our house to be apart of everyone who lives here..our sunroom is the one room that gets the most compliments from people..it is all wood..wood floors & knotty pine walls & ceilings..it has vaulted ceilings with embedded lights on a dimmer, big paladian windows & we have alot of low windows all the way to the floor..it gets alot of natural light..in here we play air hockey & walk on our treadmill plus AJ can play with his remote control helicopter in here because of the vaulted ceilings & his remote contro car & Halo tank because of the wood floors.
Our living room is carpeted but it also has vaulted ceilings & we have a fireplace with electric logs & a beautiful mantle with slide lights in front of our mantle. We have no windows in here so it's very cozy.In here we watch TV & movies together & we have our desktop computer in here so we do email,Facebook, blogging & AJ plays computer games. Our dining room is carpeted which I hate who would put carpet in a dining room? We plan to take this up ASAP...no windows in there just a sliding glass door leading to our back covered deck.In here we enjoy meals around the table & talk abt our day..we also use the table for drawing, painting things on a protective cover of course to keep paint off the table..we also play board games & Uno around the dining room table which is fun.Our kitchen is a nice sise & we have plenty of cabinets to put things in & lots of countertop space. In here we cook alot of delicious dishes, bake cookies, cakes, pies & brownies. Our laundry room is a small room but big enough for the intended purposes. In here we wash our clothes & dry them then fold them.AJ's bedroom is painted a pretty blue called -(Disney Blue)..he has so many cool things in his bedroom-pirate stuff,Spiderman, cool instruments-(harmonica,keyboard,tamborine & a guitar),fishing pole w/ tackle box, games, video games,X-Box 360,TV,DVD player & VCR,books, posters,Nerf guns etc etc...in here AJ plays video games & sometimes I play too of course he beats me everytime..lol

Our guest bedroom is the palm tree room..palm trees on the sheets, comforter & pillow cases/pillow shams. This is where our guests sleep & also where AJ & I sleep on slumber party nights on the weekend..we watch TV,movies & karoke on our karoke machine. Our master bedroom-(me & hubby's sanctuary)..our walls are seafoam green..in here we watch TV & movies, have alone time, read & of course sleep..:) In our master bathroom in our bedroom we have a whirltub & walk in shower. In here we soak in our whirltub & take hot showers..when I want to relax I soak in my whirltub surrounded in candles & read..:) In AJ's bathroom he pretty much hardly ever takes baths or showers in there he usually takes baths in our whirltub & showers in our shower..only thing he does in there is use the toilet & brush his teeth & hair.On our back deck we roast marshmellows & hotdogs on our firepit & Eddie fixes delicious steaks, fish, shrimp, turkey burgers, hotdogs, chicken & veggie kabobs on the grill..:) AJ also keeps his bike here so it won't get rained on.We enjoy being outside in summer in our pool swimming & getting dark, roasting marshmellows & weenies in our firepit, grilling out, riding our bikes,AJ enjoys jumping on the trampoline & riding his 4 wheeler..& I enjoy relaxing in our hammock..

Hey Good Lookin Whatcha got cookin??

I love to cook!

Shrimp Verde
I enjoy cooking mostly dishes I find in magazines or online or in a cookbook but they are ones I've never fixed before & usually they turn out quite delicious..but I have had a few to flop & taste awful..lol I watch Food Network often & get good ideas from there as well..last nite I fixed a dish called Shrimp Verde..it was soo yummy & yesterday I posted the recipe for it along with a Talapia recipe...having an ok day..colored my roots this morning & folded my hubby's clothes straight from the dryer..having to eat Jell-O,popsicles,clear liquids & ckn broth today..no fun at all..tonight @ 6pm I have to start drinking my pineapple flavored prep-Tri-Lyte to clean me out for my colonoscopy & endoscopy tomorrow morning-4 liters in all of this yummy solution-(yea rite) that's going to have me making a bee line to the bathroom every few minutes that is not my kind of fun on a Wednesday evening...uggh! But it's got to be done but I will defintely not be a very happy camper in the process of it..

Domesticated I am!

AJ enjoying his yummy Long John w/ Bavarian Cream inside..:)
Happy 2012 Everybody! Yesterday was Martin Luther King Day & my son,AJ was out of school so we went to Walmart & he bought some Star Wars action figures-(clone troopers) with sum of his allowance & I got us some donuts & him some Skittles..:)

Where did the year 2011 go?? I don't even know..I turned my back & poof it was over! It goes without saying with kids time flies! On New Years Day we enjoyed some collards, black eyed peas & cornbread..it was wonderful!

AJ is back in school..he was out almost 3 weeks during the holidays..the sleep in days & the all day in PJ's was fabulous..:) I often worry if I'll ever be out of the woods when it comes to my level of worry for the well being of AJ..I think I already know the answer to that & it is NO..lol When he was born my worry developed right away.I worried whether he had enough to eat, about the way he was breathing while he slept, even as he grows I worry abt his development. Then there's the worry of safety-sunburns & falling.Thankfully we've been very blessed to have had to endure any real trauma with him.Outside of his Asthma & the scary event of his SID induced acid reflux when he was a baby he's been healthy & injury free.A friend of mine with teenagers says the bigger they are the bigger problems..I'm thinking it gets worse..I'll be in a nut hut if it gets worse...I'm a worry wart in every sense of the word! Oh well I'll just have to go with the flow.:)

Death...:(

It seems like such a pity that the scattered members of families almost never get together except in times of loss.Someone dies..someone dearly beloved & suddenly the phone lines are hot & emails begin to fly.People who keep in touch only at Christmas, people who haven't heard each others voices in months even years are communicating. They say "We want to come"!To comfort each other..to see each other again-brothers & sisters long apart.Aunts & uncles & cousins..second & third cousins too..the whole clan! So many of them arriving from so many places. In this busy world where distances are great & relatives tend to become strangers blood ties are still strong.Despite the sadness of the occasion it is pleasant in so many ways almost like a family reunion. You all sit around laughing, talking & eating food that neighbors & friends have brought in.If only people could have get to gathers when we are all alive but people are so busy & so far apart. It takes the deep seriousness of death to draw us,to make us realize that all lives that relate to us are special-these scattered lives. It's sad to say goodbye but in the end if your heart is right with your maker we will all meet again!
